MWM Works with New Alternative High School to Launch

Some of my best experiences have as a result of  working with non-profit  organizations.   This past fall, André Morson and Abby Karos from Compass Teens approached us to help them get a website up and going in time for their inaugural launch in November.   André told me about their initiative to establish an Ottawa learning centre for teens that provided an experience that was a truly creative and successful alternative to traditional schooling.  During our chat I was quickly convinced that this was a great project and MWM should get involved.

Below are André’s words on how he felt about the results of the project!

“Tanya and the team at Mountain Web Media were a breath of fresh air. Needing a website for our non-profit done on both a tight budget and timeline was putting stress levels at an all-time high. We contacted Mountain Web Media, and immediately things started heading in the right direction. Tanya spent a lot of time with us at the beginning (our initial phone call was almost an hour), talking about Compass’ goals and plans, how we envisioned our site and what kind of functionality we needed from it. From there, everything else seemed so easy. Throughout the site building process, Tanya and her team maintained constant contact with us through a neat project management software called Basecamp. Requests and questions were always responded to quickly and together we were able to implement some special requests – integrating Google Apps, MailChimp – and even branding our logo! Mountain Web Media was the catalyst for getting our site done on time, under budget, and above and beyond our expectations.”
